A1 CLOSED near Newark after serious collision

The A1 southbound carriageway remains closed near Newark after a serious collision on Thursday morning. 

Nottinghamshire Police were called to a crash involving three vehicles at around 8.55am with a man being taken to hospital with serious injuries. 

Diversions are currently in place and police are appealing for witnesses or dash-cam footage from anyone travelling in the area at the time.
