Notfast Running
There were 36 NOTFAST members at Parkruns this week, taking in Holkham, Belton House, Clumber Park, and Newark. PBs this week for Nikki Dales, Sue Catley, Gill Goode, Richard Borrill and Amy Borrill.
The Ponton Plod took place on Sunday, organised by Maramile events (meaning the return of Adam Holland), and NOTFAST running club, after many years of being organised by Stuart and Kath Ashley of NOTFAST. This was a cross country event run over 12, 17 or 27 miles in Great Ponton, Grantham. Although most of the members were involved in the marshalling, and organising the event, there were also some NOTFAST runners. In the 12 mile event, Nikki Dales and Breeze Rowlands finished together in 2:21, Faye Hemingway, Angela Brown and Cheryl Kempster all finishing in 2:52, and Pete Browntail walking in 4:37.
Kate Fisher and Chris Redhead were at the Grimsthorpe 10K on Sunday, a trail race through the Grimsthorpe Castle estate. Despite some challenging hells, Chris came in in 56:15, and Kate came back in 58:01
Steve White started his road to recovery, at the Bury 10K. Despite being on the mend from a sprained ankle and broken elbow, he ran/walked the event, completing it in 1:24:37
Rick Dobbs was at the Lincs BOx event at Belchford in Lincolnshire, a challenging cross country event for runners and cyclists over multiple distances. Rick chose the 10K event which went across hills, through mud and through a swamp, and completed it in 1:04:30.
