01/07, Amelia Chrispin finishes second overall and first East Midlands girl at Eaton Dorny National Triathlon Qualifier event.
01/07, Newark Tennis Ladies 2's win 14-4 at Grantham.
02/07, Dan Chambers represented the East Midlands at the National Basketball Championships,
02/07, Tom Marshall was the first of four Newark Striders at the Holkham Outlaw Triathlon in Norfolk.
02/07, Ed Howlett finished 6th and James Rutherford 11th from 73 fencers at the GB Junior (U20) Championships at Nottingham University. Another 2 years of U20 Championships to go at after this year.
05/07, Amelia Chrispin represented Worksop College and the Region in the 1500m at the National Prep Schools Athletics Finals at Alexandra Stadium in Birmingham. Amelia not only smashed her own PB but beat her own Newark AC U13G 1500m record, she set only a month ago, by 7 seconds with a time of 5min 05.50 seconds. Shortly afterwards she was ecstatic to presented with her National silver medal!
06/07, Ian Russell wins the Newark Castle CC 22 mile time trial, Outh Muskham to Ollerton and back.
97/07, Chuter Ede School finish runners up in the County Netball 7 a side tournament.
08/07, Adam Holland completed the Great Barrow 10 in 10, winning every race and breaking the course record.
08/07, Amy Hunt wins the 100m at the English Schools Championships for the third year running, Tom Evans finishes 3rd in the 400m and Amber Owens 10th with a new PB in the 1500m steeplechase.
08/07, Louise Orgill finishes 7th at Bala Lake in the latest round of the U.K. Open Water Championships.
09/07, Greg Southern (Sleaford Striders) wins the Notfast 10k, first local home was Jan Bailey in 3rd place.
09/07, Newark Castle Archers Ed Kovac wins at Bramcote and becomes the first Newark man to be chosen to play for his County.

15/07, Hattie Swindells gets a silver rowing for Nottingham University at the GB University Games.
15/07, Amy Hunt wins two silvers at the UK schools finals in Dublin.
16/07, Amelia Chrispin wins the Yorkshire Junior Triathlon at Holfirth and qualifys for the national finals.
16/07, Ben Bilton swims the qualifying time at 200m fly for the East Midlands Regional finals, one problem he is too young.
21/07, Anna Smith represented England at the Commonwealth youth games in the West Indies. she went straight into the final of 16 under 18 athletes, which included some of the best middle distance runners in the world. Anna was ranked 8th in her race based on past performances; she was also one of the youngest by far.
To the race, and a superb, battling performance to finish 4th with a 5 second PB of 4.17.99, the 11th fastest 1500 by a U.K. u17 of ALL TIME and ranked 8th IN THE WORLD this year.
23/07, Olivia Mathias wins a bronze medal at the ETU triathlon junior European cup race in Hungary!
23/07, Success for Newark Rowing Club at the St Neots Regatta with two golds in the under 14 girls and the masters pairs
25/07, Adam Holland completes his 100th sub three hour marathon, only the fourth British man to do so.
28/07, Tony Joynes steps down as Newark Town manager.
28/07, Becky Gallop wins the silver medal at the Notts AAA County Championships.
30/07, Amelia Chrispin wins the York Junior Triathlon at the York Sports Village, part of the Yorkshire Regional Triathlon Series. The result means Amelia now has an unassailable lead and has therefore won the Yorkshire Regional Triathlon Series, 2 months and 3 events before the end of the Series. This with her East Midlands Series win makes her a double Regional Champion for 2017
