    02/06, Adam Holland wins the Dartmoor Discovery Ultra, this was his 300th Marathon / Ultra 

    03/06, Amelia Chrispin is first girl home at the Help for Heros Junior Duathlon at Rother Valley.

    05/06, David Pick is made a life member of Newark Rugby Club.

    09/06, Adam Holland & Katy Simpson win the individual awards at the Gordon Welbourn Week. Adam has won the event for the past four years.

    10/06, Newark Rowing Club win the Coxed D Four class at the British Masters.

    10/06, Great day at Harvey Haddon stadium in the Notts district schools athletics competition:

    • Anna Smith 800m gold.
    • Ben Smith 1500m gold
    • Laura Burles 3000m silver.
    • Luke Sayer 400m silver.

    Also big well done for Newark's Lincolnshire Athletes in their Championships. Katie MacKintosh Gold in 80 + 300m hurdles.  Tilly and Lauren Owens for 300m hurdles, PV and 1500m SC, Silver and Gold respectively. Maisie Archer-Dytch Silver in 200m.

    10/06, Amelia Chrispin wins the Leeds Tristan, her most important and biggest race to date.

    10/06, Newark Swimming Club win two golds at the Sports Centre meet at Retford, Jess Reed and the 4 x 25 relay.

    11/06, A better night for the Swimming Club with seven golds at Grantham, three for Harold Mizzen and two for Frankie Ward.

    11/06, Newark Tennis Ladies beat local rivals Caunton 15-3.

    13/06, Chuter Ede win the district traditional Netball tournament.

    14/06, Richard Sheldrake brakes the 21 minute barrier for the first time in a ten mile race at Hull.

    14/06, Amelia Chrispin Wins the 2nd race of the Delta Simmonds Aquathlon Series at Activities Away in Lincoln.

    16/06, Becky Gallop finishes second in the Notts 10 mile Championships.

    16/06, Olivia Mathias finishes fifth in the European Junior Triathlon held in Austria.

    17/06, Newark Academy show jumping team finishes third in their first event, Louise Davis gets a second and qualifies for the national finals.

    17/06, Jess Weaver plays for England under 18 Sevens against Wales in a warm up match for the upcoming international tournament in France.

    17/06, Adam Holland wins "the rat" 69 miles from Carlisle to Newcastle in a time of 10.30.17.

    17/06, Anna Smith finished 4th out of a field of 18 in the u20 1500m at the England Championships in Bedford.  As a 15 year old she was up to 4 years younger than everyone else in the race, and her time of 4.23.11 was yet another Commonwealth Youth Games qualifying time.  She was beaten only by GB athletes running at a European level.  Just to put this in perspective, Anna is now ranked 16th in the IAAF u18 WORLD rankings for 1500m.

    Tom Evens was the first under 17 home in the 400 meters and he should also be selected for the Games.

    18/06, Newark AC members competed for Lincolnshire schools at the Anglian schools championships. A new pb and Gold for Katie Mackintosh inter girls 300mhurdles 46.2sec and Silver in 80m hurdles. Gold for Lauren Owens in inter girls PV a new pb and outright club record of 2.80m. Bronze for Tilly Owens in inter girls 300m hurdles. Silver for George Bacon in inter boys hammer. Maisie Archer Dytch inter girls 200m pb 26.9sec. Amber Owens 2nd in senior girls Steeplechase, Tilly and Lauren Owens 4th and 5th in inter girls Steeplechase. Maisie Archer Dytch also ran a great 1st leg in the inter girls 100m relay.

    18/06, Chute Ede School compete in the Regional Finals of the Primary Schools Netball Tournament for the third consecutive year, finishing ninth.

    18/06, Barnby Road Academy where Nottinghamshire's other representatives and they came home with a magnificent third place.

    18/06, Amelia Chrispin Wins the Wakefield Junior Open Water Triathlon. This race was part of the Yorkshire Regional Junior Triathlon Series.

    23/06, Becky Gallop is First Lady home at Grantham Running Clubs Summer Solstice 10k.

    23/06, Chad Sugden wins by a unanimous points decision.

    24/06, Tim Bagguley showed his multi-event talents in the Llandudno sea triathlon finishing 24th overall and 4th in his age category in a time of 1.09.52.

    24/06, Netty Stevens completes her first ever Aquathon. 200metre swim and 3000 run.

    25/06, Finlay Cranidge finishes 2nd in round eight of the Midlands BMX series.

    25/06, RHP under 7's win their age group at the  RHP Festival of Football, 98 teams attend the event.

    25/06, Amelia Chrispin cotinues her 100% sucsess in the East Midlands Triathlon series, she has now won the first four events in the seven race series and is once again crowned champion.

    25/06, Anna Smith ran in the British Milers Club Grand Prix in Watford, doing 800m for a change. Her time was 2.06.4, which is the fastest u17 time in the U.K. this year and the 16th fastest u17 800m of all time. Anna is now ranked 11th in the world for 800m in the u18 rankings.

    25/06, Rebecca Franks gets four places for Newark Swimming Club at the Retford Open Gala, she has also qualified for the National Finals at 200 IM. NSC finished 7th out of 31 teams.

    25/06, Louise Orgill swam the BLDSA Champion of Champions at Ellerton Lake in Yorkshire. This is a 5 mile, 3 mile and 1 mile swim with the aim of competing all 3 events. She finished in a time of 5 hrs and 3 mins, 20 mins faster than previous time she swam..

    27/06, Congratulations to Linton Taylor whose 3:49.14 for second place over 1500 (last night) at Stretford is a new Newark AC record.
