The Newark and Sherwood Community and Sports Awards are back for 2026 and nominations for your winner are now open!

Organised by Newark and Sherwood District Council and partnered with ourselves we are looking to showcase our unsung heroes of the area.

This year, 13 worthy winners will be awarded for their exceptional contributions in various categories, which are as follows:

• The Irena Sendler Humanitarian Award (Sponsored by the Polish Cultural Institute London)
• Education Provider of the Year (Sponsor TBC)
• Citizen of the Year (Sponsored by Currys, in partnership with GXO)
• Young Person of the Year, up to age 17 (Sponsored by Murphy)
• Sports Achiever of the Year (Sponsored by Smiths Timber)
• Sports Team of the Year (Sponsored by Greencore)
• Creating Change for Sport and Physical Activity (Sponsored by Active4Today)
• Courage and Bravery Award (Sponsored by The Renaissance at Kelham Hall)
