We will remember them

It's a big day for local sport on Saturday as Newark Town meet FC Emmendingen in a match that honours the moment British and German soldiers put down their weapons to play a game of football and commemorates the friendship between the two twin towns. This will be the third time the sides have met with "the blues" achieving the rarity of a penalty shoot-out victory over their German friends.
