Appeal after Newark collision between a horse trap and vehicles.

Officers have launched an appeal for information and dashcam footage following a collision between vehicles and a horse trap.

The incident happened on Saturday, 12 July, just after 7pm on Beacon Hill Road, Newark, and multiple vehicles were damaged as a result.

Police have released an image of a man they wish to identify, who may be able to assist with the investigation.

PC Poppy Macky, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This incident happened in a busy area, and we know it caused disturbance to the wider community.

“We would also like to ask anyone who saw the collision or who has any information that could help to contact us as soon as possible.

"We'd be keen to hear from people driving in the area who may have dash-cam footage.”

Anyone with information or any dash-cam footage is asked to call 101 quoting Incident 608 of 12 July 2025.
