APPEAL: Elderly Woman Injured In Robbery

Elderly lady robbed in her own home

Nottinghamshire Police have have released an image of the injuries sustained by an 89-year-old woman after she was attacked in her own home.

 

It is believed a man got in through the window of her house in The Platts in Newark at around 4.30am Thursday morning (8th June).

 

He was confronted by the victim and demanded money, when she refused he grabbed her handbag. The woman was injured as she tried to stop him from getting away.

 

The man is described as 6ft tall and was wearing dark khaki clothing and a hat.
