Arrests made following Strawberry Hall Lane assault

Nottinghamshire Police have arrested a 26 year old male in relation to the assault of three women.

UPDATE:

A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with two robberies and an assault in Strawberry Hall Lane and Yorke Drive, Newark, just after 5.30am yesterday (Tuesday 19 March). The arrested man is in custody and currently being questioned by Nottinghamshire Police detectives.

Nottinghamshire Police were called at 5.32am  this morning (Tuesday 19th March) to a report that a man had punched one of the women and taken her rucksack. Two other women are also believed to have been assaulted. No weapon was used.

The victims received medical treatment at the scene for facial injuries and our enquiries are ongoing.

The offender is described as being white, aged 20 to 30, around 5ft 7ins tall and was wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with any information or who witnessed the assault is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 68 of 19 March 2019.
