Appeal launched following Newark shooting

Nottinghamshire Police have launched an investigation after a man sustained life altering injuries in a shooting in Newark.

The incident took place in the Clay Lane area of Newark, just before 5.30pm today (Thursday 29 March 2018).

The victim, a man in his twenties, sustained injuries which are not believed to be life threatening at this time.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident and officers remain at the scene while enquiries are ongoing.

Detectives investigating the incident are appealing for anyone with any information to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 675 of 29 March.
