Beware: Fog and ice forecast this evening

It’s winter, it is to be expected...

The Met Office have this evening issued a yellow warning of fog across the East Midlands including Newark and Lincolnshire

This warning also includes an ice warning issued earlier today. (Tuesday 17th December)

Both warnings are valid from early evening today (Tuesday) until Wednesday morning. The fog may be dense in places with visibility down to less than 100 metres in places. It may be slow to clear tomorrow.

We strongly advise common sense is applied, drive to the conditions and wear suitable shoes for walking.  If you cannot see the car behind consider  fog lights.

Take your time driving, black ice can be lethal and can form in patches, especially in rural areas.

Christmas shoppers beware, running and rushing may cause you an injury!
