Group aims to scale 3 peaks in 24 hours to raise vital funds for Newark Orchard School
This July, a group of friends, lead by James McEwen, are taking on a huge challenge, completing all three of the national Three Peaks within 24 hours to raise money for the Orchard School in Newark
They will depart from ths school on Friday evening and head straight to Scotland, aiming to begin the first climb at 6am on Saturday. From there, they will tackle each mountain in turn—up and down—working to complete the full challenge before 6am on Sunday.
The group are doing this to raise vital funds for the incredible children and young people at Newark Orchard School.
As a SEND community, many of the schools students face daily challenges that often go unnoticed, yet they meet them with remarkable resilience, humour and determination. Every donation will go directly towards providing the experiences, resources and opportunities they truly deserve—whether that’s enriching trips, specialist equipment, or additional activities that build confidence and independence.
The friends hope they can make a real and lasting difference for the students and their families, helping them access the very best that the school community can offer.
