Clumber Park Fire

Fire involves 20,000 square metres

A fire involving 20,000 square metres of forestry at Clumber Park occurred yesterday evening. 

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue were called to the National Trust site Following the hottest day of the year so far.

Crews from Worksop, Retford, Edwinstowe and the water bowser from Ashfield dealt with the blaze which was extinguished by firefighters using beaters and out by 10pm.

The cause of the blaze has not yet been released,
