Help your business grow with free expert advice through the District Council’s Business Support Surgery

Newark and Sherwood District Council are again offering a series of one-hour sessions for local businesses who wish to receive free specialist and local support to help them thrive. This is the fourth time the District Council have been able to offer this opportunity to local businesses.

Organised in partnership with D2N2 Growth Hub, the sessions will be held on a one-to-one basis with Dawn Fear, one of the D2N2 Growth Hub’s Nottinghamshire Business Advisers. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive valuable advice, pose questions directly related to their business, get practical tips and obtain incisive information.

The surgery is aimed at businesses, either pre-start-up or established. In addition, depending on your business needs, a follow-up business visit can be arranged.

Taking place on Wednesday, 13 September 2023, at Edwinstowe House, there are seven sessions throughout the day and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

For more information and to book your sessions, please contact Will Parkinson by emailing will.parkinson@newark-sherwooddc.gov.uk.

Councillor Matthew Spoors, Portfolio Holder for Sustainable Economic Development at Newark and Sherwood District Council, said: “I am really pleased that we can again offer these one-to-one sessions for local businesses in partnership with D2N2 Growth Hub. They provide a great opportunity for pre-start up and established businesses in Newark and Sherwood to receive important advice, that is practical for their business, on what steps they can take to grow and flourish.

“I encourage any business who feels they could benefit from one of these sessions to contact us to book their space, as places are limited.”
