Local GPs, Nurses and Patients to be Celebrated

Local NHS staff to be celebrated at Annual Public Meeting

Local GPs, nurses and patients are to be celebrated at this year’s Newark and Sherwood Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) annual public meeting which is to be held on Thursday 14 September at the Everyday Champions Centre, Brunel Business Park.  The winners of the Celebrating Success Awards, which recognise the contributions of staff and patients and have been voted for by local people, will be announced on the night. 
 
Area residents are invited to attend to hear from local CCG leaders at the event which will give the public a chance to learn more about the work of the organisation which buys local health services for the people of the area.  The formal meeting will being at 5:30pm and members of the public can attend the marketplace showcasing local health and social organisations from 4:30pm.
 
Dr Amanda Sullivan of NHS Newark and Sherwood CCG, said: “We welcome members of the public at our AGM.  It’s a great chance for people to find out what we have been doing over the last year and celebrate our local NHS staff and patient representatives who work so hard.’’
