Transform Gym is a new independent fitness space opening in Newark town centre.
Launched by local brothers Nathan and Craig Allwood, the gym brings a range of training options to the area and builds on the pair’s experience running fitness and training studios locally.
The unit was previously an empty shell and took around 15 weeks to complete. The fit-out included electrics, plumbing and joinery.
Speaking to Radio Newark, Craig Allwood said the project had been a major undertaking for the team. “We’ve done everything from start to finish, so we’re really happy with how it’s turned out.”
Transform Gym has been designed as an all-in-one fitness space. It aims to offer flexibility for people with different training preferences and experience levels.
The brothers’ Middlebeck site will continue to operate as a smaller, private space for small group personal training, while the new gym provides a larger environment for those who prefer a busier setting.
Facilities include equipment for independent workouts, personal training and small group sessions. The gym also includes a protein bar and café area, physiotherapy services and full changing facilities.
Craig said the gym is aimed at people of all abilities. He added that both he and his brother Nathan have been personal trainers in Newak for around 20 years. “We want people to feel supported, whatever stage they’re at.”
Transform Gym is located at the Asda upper level car park in Newark town centre. More information is available online or via the gym’s social media channels.
