Newark Post Office Wins Big at Awards Night

The team from Newark picked up the title of Large Retailer of the Year at the awards evening in Birmingham.

Newark Post Office, located at Paxton’s Court, has picked up the Retailer of the Year Award for exceptional customer service at the 2019 Post Office Retail Awards.

The team from Newark were presented the award of Large Retailer of the Year by Strictly Come Dancing star Tess Daly and CEO of retail Debbie Smith at an awards ceremony in Birmingham.

The Post Office Retail awards celebrate the hard work, community spirit and excellent levels of service provided to customers by teams and individuals working in over 11,500 branches throughout the UK, was held at The Vox conference centre, Birmingham on Saturday 22nd June 2019.

The team from Newark Post Office spoke of their pride at being selected amongst fierce competition, paying tribute to the "great team" and calling the award "a wonderful recognition.”

Debbie Smith, Post Office CEO of Retail said: ‘People working in our branches such as Newark are passionate about what they do,
working incredibly hard every day, providing services that really matter to our customers. We are really pleased to be presenting them with
this award as they are the key to ensuring our branches thrive at the heart of communities across the UK, not just for today’s customers but
for future generations too.”

Newark Post Office has been nominated on six occasions over the past eight years, and has won this year after going up against retailers such as Tesco One-Stop, WH Smith and the Co-op.
