Newark Set to Trial ‘Pothole Toll’ Scheme

Drivers in Newark could soon be charged every time they hit a pothole, under a new pilot scheme being explored locally.

If you’ve landed here after seeing our post this morning…

April Fools! 🤪

No charges, no sensors, no £1 per pothole - just the usual bumps in the road!

In all seriousness, our Pothole Watch campaign is very real, and we’re continuing to work on the next phase.

Thank you for all your support so far - the reports, messages and photos really do make a difference.

You can find full details on how to report potholes here https://www.radionewark.co.uk/breakfast/pothole-watch/

Let’s keep making some noise… and hopefully smoother roads.

Drive safe and have a great day.
