Power Cut Affecting Newark

1936 properties lost power on Tuesday morning.

At 9.25am a power cut affected the centre of Newark and parts of Balderton due to a fault on an underground high voltage cable.

1936 properties lost supply.  732 homes were restored within 1 min with 927 properties now having power returned at 10.20am.

277 homes and businesses still remain without power.

Radio Newark has also been without power, normal FM and DAB services will resume as soon as possible.

Western Power are working to back feed, however if there remains a problem generators will be supplied. The fault remains unknown so there is a possibility of further power cuts whilst engineers locate and rectify the problem.
