StreetLink support for rough sleepers in Newark and Sherwood

If you see someone sleeping rough and you want to help, you can now alert the right support groups through one website, StreetLink.

StreetLink, a digital platform aimed at helping rough sleepers, has officially relaunched with a new website that connects people who are sleeping rough to local support services.

The website is easy to use and can be accessed by anyone in England and Wales to send an alert to outreach teams, who go out mostly at night, to identify rough sleepers who may need help and point them in the right direction to receive support.

If you’ve seen someone sleeping rough and would like to connect them with support services, you can visit the StreetLink website and click ‘help someone sleeping rough’ to make an alert. You do not need to have an account; it is anonymous and completely free to make an alert.

In addition, the website can be used for those who are sleeping rough and have access to a computer, such as at the District Council offices and through Citizens Advice. They can use StreetLink to see how they can access support from us or from local support services. They can also make an alert for themselves.

StreetLink is a vital lifeline to those in desperate need. Their alert system allows members of the public to alert local outreach services to someone who may be rough sleeping to give them the support they may need.
