A busy weekend for R N Sports pet runners;

Netty Stevens started the weekend off with Beeston Parkrun before going to Nottingham Univercity for the Ed Pritchett Memorial Relay and today it was the Ashby 20. Our star hoped to do a time of 3 hours 59 minutes, her actual time was 3 hours 25 minutes.

It was also the Ashby 20 for Becky Gallop who ended in the prize money with a 5th place finish.

Adam Holland did the Charnwood 15 yesterday and the Keyworth Trail today, it will no surprise to anyone that he won both.

Catch a Match

Newark Rugby Club will be looking for an early Christmas present in their final match before the new year. The team are still looking for their first victory of the current campaign and will be hopeful it comes against a Belgrave side that are nine points and three places above our locals.

Starting with football, Newark Town’s recent dip in form which saw one victory from their last five outings was put to the test with a tricky day out in Derbyshire, in front of a crowd of 345 “the Blues" proved up to the task with a clean sheet aided by a single Harry Allcock strike giving them a happy journey home from Gresley.
