Newark Athletic Club
Last night (Wednesday 31st May) Amelia represented Newark AC at Loughborough University the Charnwood Open AC meet.
Although her race was not until 9pm the conditions were perfect for athletics. Amelia was racing in a graded 1500m. This meant she could raced against both genders and a number of ages, the idea behind this is so you can try and improve your PB.
Amelia paced the race really well and crossed the line in 5.12.54. This was not only a new PB but it also means Amelia is the new Newark AC U13G 1500m record holder, beating the previous record holder by over 2 seconds. A great nights racing!
