Ella and Louis bring home the gold medal

Bev Hancock reports on a “magic” weekend

Ella and I took a trip the Wales to take part in the first Canicross race weekend in of the  BSSF National Championship at  Pembrey Country Park.
Both days were a 3.7 miles on challenging course with mixed terrain with a few hills thrown in.

Ella did amazing running with Louis the springer. 1st place on both days, winning her a Gold Medal in the Female Junior Canicross 14 - 18 years.
Magic and I managed 5th place on day one and 4th place on day 2. Giving us a overall place for the weekend of 4th in the Female Veteran Canicross.
These events qualify us for a Great Britain ranking. We need to take part in 4 out of the 6 races over the next few months.
Looking forward to the 3rd and 4th race next month at Thetford Forest.
