The Pocket Rocket wins again

The 3^rd round of the North Mids cross country league was at Shipley Park Heanor and once again it provided a mud fest for the small band of Newark AC cross country runners who pitted themselves against the notoriously tough course.

It was Amelia Chrispin the smallest and lightest club member who showed the others how to run in the mud by winning the u13 girls race by nearly half a minute and she now lies 2^nd in the league.

In the u11 boys Joseph Monk finished 3^rd for the 3^rd time but his ultra consistency means he is lying 2^nd overall.

We had three young ladies in the u17 womens race resulting in a 6^th place for the team and they are 4^th team overall they were led home by Eleanor Miller in 14^th followed by Lauren Owens 18^th and Tilly Owens 20^th.

In the senior /u20 women race Amber Owens continues to improve race on race and was 19^th (4^thu20) and is in 3^rd place overall in the u20 competition.

The men finished 16^th team and are 15^th overall they were led home by Oli Carrington in 11^th next came Tim Bagguley finishing in his best ever place in the league in 53^rd. Andrew Cawthra was 136^thand Gareth Owens 144^th .
