Grassroots Plus
Monday, 19 October 2026 - 25 minutes
In this special edition, Dave is joined by Francis Towndrow to look ahead to the forthcoming Peace Match between Newark Town and German side FC Emmendingen.
Taking place at the YMCA Activity Village in Newark, the match will commemorate the famous Christmas Truce of 1914, when British and German soldiers laid down their weapons and came together in the spirit of peace during the First World War.
Dave and Francis discuss the story behind the event and what promises to be a very special occasion for both clubs.
