Isabel Darvill is the top youngster
Isabel Darvill (Velo Schils-Interbike RT) achieved probably the best placing of her young career by finishing 19th in the Women`s HSBC UK/National Circuit Championships at Stockton on Tees last Friday against some of the best Elite riders in the UK and the only Junior rider to finish.. On Sunday she competed in the HSBC UK/Junior Women`s National Road Race Championship at Witham on the Hill near Bourne, Lincolnshire. She attacked on her own on the first lap and at one time had gained a 47 second lead only to have mechanical problems with her chain on the courses main climb and eventually dropped back to the main bunch. After suffering with tired legs from Friday`s effort at Stockton on Tees, she decided to pull out as she has two major Events this week with the WNT Sheffield Grand Prix on Wednesday and the Barnsley Grand Prix on Friday, See photo of lone break
