Fun in the sun for our budding Andy Murray’s
Newark Tennis Club hosted another successful event at the weekend for the ‘Great British Tennis Weekend’. They welcomed over 40 adults and children to try a variety of activities organised by coaches Jon Penney and Maria Cotton and supported by the club committee including cardio tennis, children’s practice and fun games. The club welcomes players or all ages and abilities so please join us for more tennis throughout the year.
On the courts Newark Men put in a great team performance against Sutton in Ashfield coming away with a 10-8 win, Gary Brickles and Dave Stewart winning all their matches.
Not to be outdone The Ladies 2nd team started their summer season with a 9 set draw away at Lady Bay thanks to some evenly matched pairings.
