Notfast beat the snow
Another blast from the east, and events were cancelled again across the weekend! Despite a number of Parkrun cancellations, including Newark, 10 NOTFASTers went on their travels to find Parkruns in Hackney Marshes, Gedling, Jersey, Lincoln and Clumber Park.
On Saturday, Rick Dobbs was out in the snow at the re-arranged Sherwood Pines night run. This was a 7k run through the woods at night guided by a head torch, and Rick finished in 40:05.
Also on Saturday, Caroline Upton and Claire Wood were at the GrindlefordGallop, a 21.5mile trail run through a very snow peak district. One minute, bright sunshine, the next a complete whiteout, but completed together in 4:38
Peter Lane went to the Cartmel 10k trail race on Saturday, finishing in a watch time of 1:04, which was a similar time to last year….and then decided to enter the 18k version of the event later that day, completing this in around 3 hours.
In the only NOTFAST event to survive the weather, Steve Needham completed the latest event in the Monkey Trail Series in Jersey on Sunday, with Steve completing the 10k trail run in 1:30:17
