This is a small gesture of thanks, recognising the overwhelming public support for those continuing to go above and beyond in their efforts to reduce the spread and impact of Covid-19.

People should continue to follow Government advice and only travel for essential work, shop for necessities or to pick up medicines.”

11am - Recycling bin collections from NSDC will resume from Monday 13th April.

The service collecting silver bins was temporarily suspended due to staffing and social distancing concerns.

Residents are asked to place their bin out by 6am as the routes have changed, and advised that no additional side waste will be collected.

NSDC leader Councillor David Lloyd apologised for the inconvenience and said: “We have acted quickly by redeploying and training staff and bringing new vehicles into the fleet.”

He added “I am grateful for residents’ support and understanding this last week and would remind people to please double-bag any tissues or similar items that might carry contamination.”
