Changes to Castle Gate Traffic Flow

Tuesday 29th May will see changes to the current traffic flow at the Castle Gate roundabout.

The roadworks on Castle Gate are progressing slightly ahead of schedule and as a result  they will be making changes to the traffic management that has been in place since 19th February.

On Tuesday 29th May (5am to 7am) BNM Alliance will move the fencing at the Castle roundabout to re-open the outbound carriageway.  As a result vehicles wishing to turn right onto Beast Market Hill from Bar Gate will now travel around the roundabout as they did before works commenced.

The existing 2-way traffic flow on the inbound carriageway will be removed and reduced to a single lane.

These changes will allow BNM Alliance to reinstate the roundabout whilst maintaining traffic flow.

PLEASE NOTE THE CASTLE GATE 1-WAY SYSTEM WILL REMAIN IN PLACE UNTIL 15th JUNE.
