Man Taken to Hospital After A617 Crash Near Upton

The A617 remains closed near Upton.

A man has been taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham following a collision between a lorry and a car on the A617 near Upton this morning (Friday 9th August).

The extent of his injuries are not yet known, Nottinghamshire Police were called to the scene just before 6.45am. 

The road has remained closed since, with a diversion still in place via Upton and the A612.

The road is currently closed and a diversion is in place via Upton and the A612.

Notts Police say they hope to reopen the road soon.

UPDATE - the A617 has now reopened and can be used for travel.
