The match of the day in the East Midlands Counties League is at Lowfields with the home side taking on third placed Radford. Last weekends postponement at Rainworth cost "the works" top spot with Selston winning at West Bridgeford.    Kick off 3.00pm

Collingham are enjoying an excellent campaign in the CMFL and are currently sitting in second place five points behind leaders Clay Cross Town with two matches in hand, and the two meet at the Derbyshire sides Mill Lane ground this weekend.       Kick off 3.00pm

Newark Town are without a match this weekend.

Another massive match see's Newark Flowserve Reserves travel to Hollinwood Lane to play Notts Senior League Division Two leaders Top Valley. Three points and two places separate the sides but with Flowserve having a vastly superior difference a win would could put "the works" on top of the pile.   Kick off 2.00pm 

Third placed Farndon Colts play second place Skegby in the Notts Youth League under 18 division three, two points separating the sides as they both chase Long Bennington.  Kick off 10.30am at The Magnus

Newark Rugby Club host local rivals Lincoln at Kelham Road, with both sides locked on thirty two points in mid table an entertaining game of running rugby can be expected. Kick off 3.00pm

Newark Hockey Ladies 3's also have a local derby to look forward too, Southwell Brincliffe visit The Magnus   10.00am push back. Talking of local derby's they don't come much closer than two sides from the same club, that play in the same division and are separated by two places play each other. Newark Men's 2 play Newark Men's 1 at The Magnus   2.00pm push back

Our Cross Country runners are enjoying an excellent season but it steps up a gear this weekend with the Midlands Championships taking place at Lemmington Spa.

Newark Tennis Club welcome Sutton in Ashfield to London Road for a Mixed Doubles match.

it's round two of the Junior League for the young stars of the Jaguars Wheelchair Basketball Club

On to Sunday and two more big football matches,

RHP Colts host Grimsby for the second week running and if last week's match is anything to go by it will be the must watch of the weekend.  kick off at the Sports Village 1.45pm

Finally the top to meet in the East Midlands Veterans League, second placed Flowserve travel to Mansfield to play Local Inn
