A Striders weekend

Newark Striders

The best way to start a dull , grey Saturday morning is with running Parkrun and thats exactly what over thirty Striders did. 

It was Ben Bernard who took the honour of finishing first for Striders and 11th overall in a time of 21:29 followed by Peter Davis 22:11 and Nige Driscoll 23:09.

Dogless Beverley Hancock was the first lady to finish in 25:26 with pacer Sara Carter 26:20 and Lesley Butlin 27:44.And a huge congratulations to Strider Lesley Butlin who completed her 50th parkrun. 

There were marvellous personal best times achieved by Gary Bourne 23:25

Jason Cobb 25:32, Heather Green 30:09.

A huge thank you to our magnificent volunteers Bernie Divall, Sally Priest, Steve Padgett , Jess Gordon and Sara Carter. 

Meanwhile in Grantham mother and son duo Leisa and Max Pickles completed Belton House Parkrun, Max finished in a time 30:56 and Leisa achieved a Belton PR PB of 32:44.

Sunday was ladies day , a huge well done to Striders  Rebecca Clift and Donna Beveridge who travelled to Leeds to complete the Run Yorkshire Roundhay 10K. Rebecca finished in a time of 58:57 and Donna in 1:07:56 and 2nd in her age category. 

Closer to home two ladies completed the Race for life 10K in Lincoln.

Sebrina Judge and Bernie Divall finished together in a new personal best time of 1:03:22
