Abbey Hammond pulls through injury to be selected for Midlands
The girls section have another player, Abbey Hammond, selected for the Midlands U15s. Following disappointment at not being able to attend the original trails in January due to an injury sustained a week before, Abbey was invited to attend the first Midlands training camp at the weekend to trial.
Abbey was given the news by the selectors on Saturday that she was in the squad and invited to stay for the Sunday session.
Abbey joins team mates, Erin, Alice, Evi, Maddie Coy and Jess B at u15s in the squad, as well as Jess W and Maddie Crofts in the u18's squad. A great result for the hard work the girls put in.
