Amelia Chrispin
On Sunday 15th July Amelia Chrispin competed in the Holmfirth Junior Triathlon. This was the last event of the 8 x race Yorkshire Triathlon Series., which started way back on the 8th April.
Amelia was competing in the Tristar 3 age group, which started with a 270m pool swim. She had a great swim and quickly exited the pool picking up her bike and helmet for the 5km grassed bike section.
The bike section was quite testing and with the 27 degree heat, made the going tough for the athletes. Amelia cycled well, putting herself into a good position for the 2.4km run.
She continued to push herself in the oppressive heat and shortly after crossing the line was ecstatic to find out she had come a brilliant 2nd place.
This final race result, subject to ratification, means Amelia has come 2nd in the Yorkshire Junior Triathlon Series 2018, in her first year of the Tristar 3 age group.
