What a remarkable young lady.

At just 24, Amy Hunt has become European champion in both the 100m and 200m, producing a remarkable sprint double at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham.

Having already claimed 100m gold earlier in the week in a time of 11.00 seconds, Hunt returned to the track on Thursday night and delivered again — storming to 200m gold in 22.19 seconds.

She handled her business when it mattered most. There was no holding back and nothing left on the track. Hunt showed composure, determination and the quality of a true champion to see off Ireland's Rhasidat Adeleke, who took silver, and fellow Briton Dina Asher-Smith, who claimed bronze.

And she's not finished yet.

Hunt will now turn her attention to the women's 4x100m and mixed 4x100m relays, with the opportunity to add two more European titles to her haul.

Two individual golds already secured. Two more opportunities ahead.

Amy Hunt has proved herself — and she has quite literally left nothing on the track.
