Newark Athletic Club
Some great Athletics today in the U17's and U20's YDL, at a rather dry and windy Grantham track. Our team East Notts finished third out of the six teams not far behind Derby and Amber Valley.
A new club record in the 400m Hurdles by Katie Macintosh U17 with a time of 69.1sec. Also new club record by Lauren Owens in Pole Vault who now holds 2.7m and this covers all age groups. It also matches that of the Senior mens, J Little in 2002.
William Monaghan ran both the 100 and 200m and then also did the 100 and 400m relays to add extra points for our team.
Anna Smith won the 300m sprint and then with Tilly, Lauren and Amber Owens also got us extra points in the 100 and 300m relays.
Newark also had a good Steeple chase with only 3 in it Amber, Lauren and Tilly finishing as listed.
