Anna Smith wins a bronze medal at the National XC Relays
Last week's Sports Show guest Anna Smith helped her team to a bronze medal in the national XC relays at Berry Hill, Mansfield yesterday.
Team mate Libby Coleman ran the first leg, finishing 10th out of the 95 teams. Amber Scott ran a great second leg and at that point Mansfield AC were 6th. Anna then ran one of the fastest legs of the day, and despite being 20 seconds off third with 500 metres to go she closed the gap and pinched the bronze medal.
It was the only team medal for any team from either Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire, and the team was only 6 seconds off silver.
