Centenary celebrations

Newark Town & Collingham FC.

Newark Town and Collingham FC celebrated their respective anniversaries in a action packed afternoon  at Station Road yesterday.

The youngsters had a great few hours playing against each other in glorious October sunshine before the highlight at the end of the day, the Veterans Game.

Managers, past players and parents from both clubs took to the pitch in what was a stunning game of football. To top it all, the players agreed to wear the outfit of the 1868 era, along with facial hair!!! Moustaches were all the rage back then.

Newark Town came away the victors with a 3-0 win with goals from Zak Ashmore, Daniel Piotrowski and Ronnie Kennedy.
