Chuter Ede at the Netball finals

Chuter Ede School

It was another big day for Chuter Ede's Netball team, I will let Amy Fell tell you all about it;

Our day started with us leaving at 7.30. We got to Northampton about 9am and it was already 25 degrees.

10 schools qualified for the East Midlands regional final today.

The matches started off being 2x10min halves but due to the heat increasing were cut down to 2x7min halves.
Out of 9games, we won 2, drew1 and lost 6. Some of the losses were within a goal or two. This meant we finished 9th.

Chuter Ede have reached the East Midlands final for the last 3 years now. I think that is an achievement in itself. To call ourselves 9th in the East Midlands this year is amazing.

I don't know how the children played today, it was hot enough stood watching. They are all amazing and I am so unbelievably proud of all of them. They are my superstars.

We also had amazing support from our families and from Jess who played the last two years in our team who assisted me - she's my mini co-coach.

We still have the Notts school games 7 a side netball on 7th July - so watch this space!

Days like this for teachers are not part of our 'working week' but all those added extras that come with the job. It's not a 9-3:30 job, it's so much more than that. But I wouldn't change it for the world when I see children of such a young age playing sport to a high standard, showing determination, strength and commitment, but most of all enjoying every single minute.
To me they are winners no matter what! ❤️🏆😁
