Dave Sharps Whites and Yellow challenge halted.
Dave Sharps challenge in the white and yellows series came to a grinding halt at Stoke speedway last Saturday.
Having struggled with the setup of the car for the tarmac meeting at Northampton the weekend before, Dave managed to finish every race but was out of the points.
His hopes were on the Stoke shale meeting on the 4th November, as throughout the season most of his success has been on shale. Rain made the circuit wet and conditions for the first race were difficult. With bad visibility and fighting for 5th place Dave came around turn 2 and hit a spun-out car head on. The race had to be stopped and Dave was out of the racing for rest of the meeting.
This has taken him out of the challenge “ I only need to score a couple of point so it’s not quite the way that I wanted to end the season, but as they say that’s racing!”
