Flowserve’s mark of respect

Poor first half but class finally came through in the battle of the top two

In a day of high emotion at Lowfields Newark Flowserve came out on top in the battle of the top two clubs in the Notts Senior League.

A goalless first half saw visitors Awsworth miss at least four chances to take a deserved lead but as the game moved into its final stages they where made to pay with “the works” finding the net twice through Elliot King and Daryl Price.

Manager Craig Roche gives his thoughts on the match in Monday evenings Radio Newark Sport.

On pitch Flowserve’s second string progressed into the last four of the Notts Junior Cup by overcoming Bingham Tiwn Res by the odd goal in seven. Veteran  Chris Self lead from the front with a brace while Harry Mills and Curtis Price also found the net.
