From Birmingham to Cleethorpes

Newark AC had 3 members at the English Schools T&F championships held at Birmingham

Tom Evans finished 3^rd in the inter boys 400m in a time of 48.53s just .01 behind 2^nd having won his heat in 48.86s

Amber owens finished 10^th in the senior girls 1500m steeple chase in a new pb of 5min 12.49 s beating a number of girls who on paper were faster than her.

Katie Mackintosh ran a new pb 45.87s in the inter girls 300m hurdles finishing 6th in her heat.

On Sunday the senior team bolstered by some of u17/u20s travelled to Cleethorpes for their home match and finished 3^rd in the 8 team division. The men managed to fill all of the events with the exception of the pole vault. The ladies team although small in number and age produced some excellent results in the events they contested.
