First Team.

Two wins and a narrow 3-2 defeat has seen the first team climb to mid table in Division One of the Nott’s Leagues. The victories came by way of a 4-1 win at home to Nottingham University 2nds with wins for Richard Speed, Steve Brown, Christian Cardenas and Paul Burrell. At Trent Bridge the score line was also 4-1 with Brown, Speed and Burrell being joined by Captain Chris Gibbons making his first appearance of the season winning their respective games. The defeat came against Grantham 2nds at home with Gibbons again being joined by Burrell who is finding some good form as the season progresses winning their games. Useful points were also picked up by the other three players resulting in a good points haul overall despite the loss.

 

Second Team.

One win out of four again has resulted in the 2nd team remaining second from bottom in division 2. The solitary victory came at home to Trent Bridge 4th’s with Mark Chester, Paul Allen, Any Sayers and Barrie Saye winning their respective games. The suffered two narrow 3-2 defeats against Mansfield Nomads 2nd’s and Racketeers 2nd’s and a 5-0 defeat against unbeaten Nottingham 2nd’s. Again injuries and work commitments are hampering their efforts in putting a regular team out.

 

Third Team.

Two wins out of three matches has seen the 3rd team consolidate the mid table position in Division 3. The victories came against Rushcliffe 3rd’s with Paul & Tom Breffitt being supported by 4th team player Adam Whitney and another 3-2 win with the Breffitts this time being aided by Richard Wilson. In the individual rankings both Paul and Tom Breffitt are in the top ten standings.

 

Forth Team.

In Division 5 the forth team remain top having won 3 out of 4 of the latest set of fixtures. These were against David Lloyd 4th’s Nottingham University Ladies and Park Pinks “B”. Adam Whitney has been consistently winning his matches and this has seen him rise to second place in the individual rankings. He has been ably supported along the way by Dave Grant, Jack Peterken, Jamie Groden, James Cockerton and Steve Knowlton-Rayner. The defeat came narrowly against Rushcliffe Rushcliffe 6 where three of the team lost 3-2.
