Newark Golf Club News
In our regular catch up with our friends at Newark Golf Club we go back to early December and the club proud hosts of the Nottinghamshire Winter Alliance - Roy Fletcher Memorial Trophy – this is the 5th year it has been held.
34 teams competed and competition was high with 42 points not even making it into the top ten places.
Tom Bean, Newark Golf Clubs own PGA Assistant Professional, was joint first with Lee Mellors, also of Newark Golf Club with an impressive 47 points. Everyone enjoyed a carvery in The Clubhouse after the round and welcomed Roy Fletchers family who for the first time presented the trophy to the winner.
In other news the club are delighted to announce that Keith Whitfield is the 2020 Club Captain for Newark Golf Club and has chosen the Children’s Bereavement Centre as his charity for the year.
