Cross Country returns for the youngsters

Mini League at Newark

Newark Athletic Club hosted the first Notts Mini League Cross Country of the season at a damp Newark Academy on Sunday morning. On a very busy day for the club we are grateful to Debbie Monk for sending us the results;

U11 Girls was the first race with Georgina Sanders finishing in 11th place followed by Neva Wilson-Green in 35th and Jessica Jackson in 44th.

Next was U11 boys, with Charlie Ashley first back in 10th, followed by Lewis Biggin in 21st.

In the U11 races we also had 3 future stars running as guests until they turn 9 this season; well done to Maisie Mullet, Reuben Shivas and Edward Macintyre.

We then moved onto U13 races with our girls finishing in 16th place for Anna Clarke, 18th for Jasmine Braithwaite, 23rd for Harriet Monaghan and 28th for Elsa Broadberry.

In the U13 boys race, Joseph Monk returned to the racing scene in 2nd place followed by team mates Ryley Picker in 11th, Fin Charles in 23rd and Jay Charles in 27th.

Finally our only runner in U15 was Niamh Monaghan in the U15 girls race finishing in 14th place.

Great day for everyone! Next league race is in Mansfield in October.
