AGM Followed by a Weekend of Running
After the awards and party of Friday's Newark Striders AGM it was back to the business of running;
Well done to the nine Striders who braved the hilly, cold and damp cross country league on Sunday at Bramcote.
The first gent to complete the 5.40 mile course was James Rastall in 38:32 , coming 15th overall, he was followed by Howard Leek 43:06, Dan Stephens 43:23, Mark Winter 45:13,
Peter Davis 49:42, Simon Price 50:24,
Dave Dews 52:19 , Clive Owen 52:22 and our only lady representative Elizabeth Slessor who completed the 3 mile course in 28: 21.
Current standings in the competition, the senior men's team are in 11th, the veteran mens ' A' team are 4th and veteran mens 'B' team are 3rd overall.
