Striders update
It was another busy weekend for Striders with four completing the undulating Clumber Park 10K, first Strider to finish was Jan Bailey in great time of 37:21 coming 8th overall and 2nd in his age group, with Dave Dews following in 46:21, our only lady Strider Philippa Clarke in a speedy time of 51:45 and Jason Priest in 53:46. A huge thank you to the support crew of Holly and all the children.
While in Leeds Strider Mary Swindles achieved a 1st place in her age category in the Leeds sprint triathlon completing the 750M swim in 19:57, the 20K cycle in 48:46 and the 7.5KM run in 44:15 total time of 2:07:35.
The very brave and mad Nicola Bradley completed all three events of the airfield anarchy, on Saturday the 5K and 10K followed by the 10 mile event today. Also Steven and Nicki Padgett completed the Airfield anarchy 10K event as part of the GRAFT team.

In Northumberland Strider Bernie Divall who completed the Bamburgh 10K in an unofficial time of 1:02:33.

There was a great turnout for Striders at the Gordon Welbourn events, with 22 striders participating in one or more event and eight completing all five races.
In the overall standings Striders did brilliantly with Jan Bailey coming 2nd overall and 1st in his age category 40- 49 , Dan Stephen (AKA Stephen Dan) 3rd overall and 2nd in the same age category, Mark winter was 5th overall and Peter Davis 11th overall 9th man and a brilliant 1st place in the age 60+ category. Not to be outdone the ladies did wonderfully too, Jess Gordon 15th overall , 3rd lady and 2nd in her age category, Sara Carter 22nd overall and 5th lady , Philippa Clarke 23rd overall and 6th lady and Holly Davis 57th overall and 20th lady. Those who took part were Jan Bailey, Dan Stephen, Mark Winter, Leroy Lindsay, Peter Davis, Tom Marshall, Jess Gordon, Philippa Clarke, Sara Carter, Lucy Napthine, Donna Wright, Holly Davis, Leisa Pickles, Jenny Palmer, Simon Palmer, Ben Bernard, Alistair Clarke, Nick Anderson, Dan Arkwell, Jason Priest, Lesley Butlin, Matt Silk and Mark Turner.
