Chasing the Sun

In a change to the usual early Triathlon start time, Saturday's Sundowner Triathlon had a start time of midday and saw athletes quite literally chasing the sun to finish. Both our boys did so easily, completing the middle distance event of a 1900m swim, 90k cycle and 21k run long before the sun had time to set. Tom Marshall finished in 04:33:33 the 8th male home and 3rd in his age catagory. Dave Tilley finished in a time of 04:56:21 38th male home and 7th in his age catagory. Fantastic results from both.

Louth Sprint Triathlon and Michelle Starbuck finished  the 400m swim, 22k bike and 5k run in a time of 01:39:51 despite a slight error on the run and adding on 1.5k she still managed 9th in her age catagory. Well done Michelle.

Dave Daubney and Jason Cobb had a weekend devoted to thier running Dave delivered  a PB at  Sherwood Pines 10k going sub 50 with a time of 49:46 and Jason completed Bassingham Bash on Saturday in 41:26 and Sherwood Pines 10k on Sunday in 53:06.
