34 NOTFAST members took part in Parkruns this week, at Belton House and Newark. PBs this week for Joanna Gray, Fay Paterson, Kate Blair and Anna Wilkinson.
On Saturday, there was a large outing to the Thoresby Trot, organised by Maramile Events, to raise money for CASY. This was a trail run over either 10k, 5k, or a 2.5k fun-run. First place in the 10K went to Adrian Dix in 40:40, followed by Richard Hallam in 2nd place in 41:57, Peter Middleton (50:54), Jim Lovett (50:55), Caroline Upton (54:24), Chris Redhead (56:51), Andy Floyd (1:05:29), Kirsty Watson (1:06:43), and Maria Brambles (1:07:22). In the 5K, Ernie Clarke came first in 30:52, followed by Cathy Clarke (31:13), Suzanne Catley (31:41), Bob Oakham (35:08), Claire Simmonds (36:32), Breeze Rowlands (54:51), and Lacey Simons (54:54)
On Sunday, Adam Holland competed in the The Meridian Ultra, which was also the England Ultra Distance Championships 50km. Although he had problems with lightheadedness towards the end, drinks stations, and tags, he managed to finish in 1st place overall in a time of 3:18:59, and his 299thMarathon or Ultra.
